You can download th Mac App here for free:
To transfer files, no configuration is needed. However - some conditions must be met for your devices to find each other.
- Air Doc must be running on your Mac
- Air Doc Pro or Air Doc must be running on your iPhone or iPad
- Your Mac and your iPad or iPhone must be on the same network. This usually means, both have to be connected to the same router.
- Firewalls can block necessary network ports. Some public networks (like in some libraries) are blocking those ports.
If all of those conditions are met, your Mac and your iPhone or iPad should find each other with no other configuration. You may need to confirm the connection on your iPad or iPhone to start sending or receiving files.
You can download Air Doc here:
All active devices are listed here. Select the one you want to work with.
The name of the currently active device is shown here. The progress bar below shows the free space on your device.
When you transfer some files, the progress bar shows the current progress of the file up- or download. You can cancel the transfer by clicking on the (x) button to the right of the progress bar.
In this area, the files on your iPad or iPhone are shown. The previews were generated on your device, no files are transferred up to now.The files are organized by folder or section - like they are on your device. Your private files are shown when you authenticate yourself in the private section on your iPad or iPhone.
To send or receive files, you can simply drag and drop them into this area. You can even drag folders into this area.
When you press this button, the file listing is refreshed.
When you press this button (or the hotkey which is Cmd-Alt-S) a screenshot from your Mac is taken and shown on your iPad or iPhone. The screenshot is saved and available in the section "Screenshots" on your iPad or iPhone.
When you press this button (or the hotkey which is Cmd-Alt-V) the content of the clipboard (the things you copy with Cmd-C) is shown on your iPad or iPhone. The clipboard is saved and available in the section "Clipboard" on your iPad or iPhone.
When you drag imaged or documents in this area, the file is shown on your iPad or iPhone. In addition Air Doc watches the file for changes and updates the view on your iPad or iPhone accordingly. So you can preview designs you work on directly on your iPad or iPhone without always dragging he image file into the Air DOc file section.
The manual is contained in the App - just select "Help" and choose the topic you want to read about.
